MHMK, Macromedia University for Media and Communication, is the largest private media academy / university in Germany, with approximately 2,000 students and 80 professors on five campuses and has an international network of partner universities. The MHMK offers Bachelor and Masters Degree programmes in Berlin, Munich, Stuttgart, Cologne, and Hamburg, that cover the entire spectrum of conception, design, production and management of media. Campus München is looking for an English Programme Coordinator to work on a freelance basis, starting as soon as possible.

Main Area of Responsibility: Planning and coordination of the University’s English programmes for the 5 campuses, with particular focus on preparation courses for the TOEFL Duties include:

• Teaching of TOEFL preparation courses and courses preparing students to study abroad

• Preparation and coordination of end-of-semester examinations and other tests as appropriate

• Coordination of English trainers on the 5 campuses

• Assistance with selection of trainers • Update of curriculum as appropriate

• Management and coordination of teaching materials as appropriate

• Placement testing, grouping of students before each semester

• Advising and assessment of individual students during the semester

• Liaison with Organisation, Student Advisory Service, International Office, Examinations Office, Faculty at Munich Head Office and on other campuses

• Liaison with representatives of ETS

Your Profile:

• Based in or near Munich

• Qualified to teach English as a Foreign Language preferably at diploma level (DELTA or equivalent)

• At least 7 years experience of teaching English as a Foreign Language, including examination-based (preferably TOEFL) courses

• Experience of teaching university students preferable

• Successfully completed university degree

• Experience of pedagogical management (curriculum design, materials management, testing etc.) • Experience of recruitment and management of teachers

• Native speaker of English (or excellent English skills at C2 level)

• German skills B2 or above (written and spoken) • Very good computer skills (MS-Office)

• Good organisational skills

• Reliability
