Discerning, Discovering, Defining, Developing

18 April 2010

Professional Development April 23-24 / June 12

Gasteig, Rm 3.149 / 3.142

Three full days to discover and develop your personal brand; three days to discern the dimensions of your focus and design a concrete way forward.

Bettina Erbe and Kerstin Staudinger will facilitate a hands-on approach to assisting you in expanding or defining your English training profile or even discovering it for the first time. Bettina and Kerstin come with a background in marketing and management training and are deeply rooted in German society and mentality. They will help us discover where and how each of us can individually apply the interests and skills we bring to our profession in a way that interacts profitably with the priorities and perspectives of German firms and individuals.

The three-day event will be extremely interactive. Participants will be asked to prepare and provide their personal profile as well as their personal and professional network in order to chart an intentional course to maximize their role as a trainer in Germany.

Bettina brings with her a background in communication and marketing with a focus in coaching and personnel development in a range of industries and companies. Bettina includes humor and transparency as well as empathy and understanding in her coaching and training. Further details can be found at the coaching akademie website.
Kerstin, on the other hand, brings among other accents a background in leadership training and transition coaching coupled with organizational development and change management facilitation with a significant involvement in executive and senior management training.
Both of them will present this understanding of how Germans and German companies function and will work with you and your priorities to help you develop your niche and develop your teaching profile, based on your own background and goals.
The majority of the three-day event will take place in English. Some of the interaction and examples will be drawn from German sources and presented in German. Translations for all documents and interpretation for spoken sections will be provided. The work you do on your own profile and niche can take place in the language of your choice.

Dates: April 23 and 24 A follow-up day is scheduled for June 12. Participation in all three days is a pre-requisite for maximizing your benefit.
